Food and music have always been the heart and fundamental focal point of my home.

Since I can remember, my parents would cook dinner every night with music blissfully playing in the background. There isn’t one night I can remember where this scenario didn’t take place. It was our lifestyle. On the weekends we would have friends over for a feast cooked from the heart where we would laugh, dance, and fill our bellies with delicious home cooked food and red wine. Needless to say, I’ve been cooking away in the kitchen since I could say “pasta”. My mother’s inspiration in the kitchen always came from Italy’s rustic countryside. She taught me various Tuscan dishes that I still cook till this day. My father on the other hand taught me how to cook by using my creativity and curiosity. 

He loved to experiment with inventive recipes and really with anything that was out of the box. We would have a blast testing and tasting new recipes.  We were two peas in a pod him and I. In November of 2017, what I knew to be my world, flipped upside down. My father unexpectedly passed away. I was left in a space in time where nothing made sense. The only thing that felt like home was cooking. So, I cooked. And through this, Mina’s Catering was born. It’s a homage to my beloved father, to my childhood, to the roots of my being. Food is what brings humanity together. And where there is food, there is love.​
